Osteoporosis

Our bone are composed of calcium deposits and with age the amount of deposits gradually reduce, leading to porous bones, or osteoporosis. Bones become more brittle and prone to fracture.
I often prescribed the homeopathic remedy Symphytum (knitbone) when treating fractures and for healing bones in low doses.

My advise to women going through the menopause is to include calcium and vit d supplements in their diet. I have seen bone density test results significantly improve in women using these supplements alongside consitutional homeopathy.

Constitutional homeopathic treatment is most effective to help prevent the onset of this condition and slow down the progression of bone loss. In advanced cases, remedies can also be used alongside conventional drugs.
