Homeopathy for the Home & Family Workshop in Slough

Here I am at Quaker House in Slough presenting the theory and practice of 'How to prescribe for the Home and Family' based upon homeopathic principle in byte size.

The aim was to in still confidence in mainly my own clients on how they could themselves prescribe for minor ailments and to familiarise them with the 'go to' remedies, those most often found in Homeopathic 1st Aid Kits.

The first part of the morning session was spent looking at the principles of homeopathy, it's laws, understanding the difference between acute and chronic symptoms and then moving on to what potency to use, plussing & succussion, how often to repeat and when - pretty much answering the usual frequently asked questions when faced with what to do when your homeopath isn't around.

We then moved on to look at the following remedies.
For symptoms that come on suddenly after exposure to a shock or cold windy conditions.  I call this the 'nip it in the bud' remedy!
No. 1 remedy for all accidents & traumas, where there is bruising or head injury.
And in a similar vein covering Arsenicum, Apis, Bryonia, Cantharis, Calendula, Hypericum, Hepar Sulph, Ignatia, Ruta & Silica

We also discussed the ABC childhood remedies i.e. Acontite, Belladonna and Chamomilla as well as how to build resilience and resistance naturally.

Next workshop will be on Managing through to Menopause, so watch this space.
